Root Wellness Center, Board of Directors

Blaque Robinson is the CEO & Founder of Visions OutLoud, LLC. VOL is a company whose mission is "turning up the volume so you can live OutLoud." Currently, there are two branches of VOL: a healing platform, Healing OutLoud and a strategy consulting firm. Our current contract is with Virginia Union University's Center of African American Culture and Heritage (CAAHC). VOL is tasked with building the development strategy of the CAAHC to elevate VUU to a R1 university and top HBCU. Prior to starting VOL, Blaque worked as the Development Director for Public Allies Wisconsin, a non-profit focused on providing the knowledge, resources, and platforms to catapult Wisconsin's most promising, and often overlooked leaders, into their careers. Blaque also holds an M.A. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel-Hill and a B.A. in Sociology from Rice University. Over the past 10 years Blaque's expansive sociological imagination and deep study of our society has allowed them to build expertise in strategic planning, leadership development and non-profit management. Now, Blaque's focus is on providing the scaffolding for both individuals and businesses to find their voice, fulfill their vision, and live their life OutLoud. Blaque is honored to provide support to The Root Cause to help them become a definitive voice in using community-based methods to heal Black communities.
